Compared with the traditional water, oil, PAG quenching medium has the following advantages:
1) The elimination of fire: PAG quenching agent works without burning, never fire hazard happens.
2) To improve the production environment: PAG quenching liquid is the same as the water, with no smoke, non-toxic in quenching, clean working environment.
3) To improve performance: to prevent quenching cracks by replacing the water, to improve the depth of hardening zone and the hardness by replacing the oil.
4) To reduce costs: lower than quenching oil whether it is a one-time investment or consumption in the production process (about 1 / 4 of the oil cost).
5) Very flexible: substitute "water - oil" double quenching by using only one quenching agent, easy to operate.
6) Easy to maintain and preserve: no oil crust and sediment in the quenching tank and cooling devices, easier to maintain the equipments.
7) Compared with the conventional PAG, it has superior anti-aging, anti-rust performance. At the same concentration , the cooling rate of pearlit transformation is faster, the cooling rate of martensite transformation is slower. At 3% concentration, the cooling rate of pearlit transformation is faster than water, the cooling rate of martensite transformation is slower than water, and the consumption of PAG has dropped 10%.
